One of the members on St Helens connect site has taken some potos of the Headstones. He has allowed me to post them on here.
Apparently there are 11 plots with unmarked mass graves in them & Friends of St Helens Cemetery are in talks with local stone masons to try to get headstones for all of the plots.

The also have one in Yew Tree Cemetery by the Church. It makes a nice focal point for relatives to lay flowers to thos in public graves.

Thank you so very much Linda for letting us know and for the beautiful photos.
I never would have known if you hadn't have posted.
Sharing this with another forum.
Friends of the cemetery are just fantastic people.
It's heartwarming.

Does anyone know which sections have the new stones. My 3xgt grandmother is buried in Section 5 No. 269 and there are many in the grave, none related, it is also not a purchased grave. I prefer to use the term, public grave rather than pauper.
