Find a soldier's will
I have been made aware of this website by Mike McNicholas who is writing a book about Widnes born men who were killed in WW1.
https://www.gov.uk/probate-search#before-you-start
(this link takes you to the search page)
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/thou ... s-released
(this link takes you to an explanatory page)
If you click on the first link you will see that you can "Search for the will of a soldier who died while serving in the British armed forces between 1850 and 1986". However, as you might expect, there is a charge, £6 for each will. I don't know how many wills are held, in my case I searched for the wills of 3 of my relatives and found 2.
I have yet to order any, so I cannot comment on the service or quality of the images.

Re: Find a soldier's will
I also ordered one and it arrived within 48 hours to my computer. There was a standard handwritten will, a page explaining that this was an informal will written by the person while he was "in actual military service" and recognised by the War Office as constituting a valid will but in my case also an extra little note asking that "whoever finds this book kindly return it and the photo of my wife to her" and giving his wife's name and address. He was killed at the Dardanelles six weeks after writing his will.

Common British Military Abbreviations
Thought this would be useful as we come across so many abbreviations in Service Papers etc.

Military Hospitals in England - WWI
Although it's common knowledge that many establishments were pressed into service as military hospitals to cope with the flow of wounded, I think many will still be surprised at the length of this list - and the English ones are incomplete!
