Firstly apologies if this has been posted before, or if it's on the wrong board!

You can get free e-books and magazines thanks to ReadLiverpool (https://www.readliverpool.co.uk/) - all that is required is a library card. If you don't have a library card, don't worry as you can get an online library card (as long as you live or work in Liverpool of course) which will give you full access.

One of the free magazines is "Your Family Tree" with the magazines freely available for May, June, July and August all downloaded to your PC (or tablet, etc). All you need to do is download a couple of programs, but the wwebsite guides you through the whole process.

Also, you'll then be able to access The Times newspaper archive as well. They did also have the 19th Century newspaper archive, but it's no longer there (although you can access this if you have a Lancashire Libraries card)
