GRO Ireland

The Irish GRO provide an excellent service. I decided to try to get hold of the original marriage entry that I had previously obtained in transcription form from Roots Ireland. GRO Ireland provided me with a photocopy of the marriage entry for only 4 Euro that is £3.61 in GB currency.
You need to print out the application form and provide the details of the event. My event was in Northern Ireland in 1849 but even though GRO Ireland covers only the Republic of Ireland these days they have records for the whole of Ireland for the 19th Century.
I would recommend the photocopy format as it's cheaper and you just get the original image. I've scanned the image and blown it up and it looks great:-
