I know this site has been mentioned before, but I never really tried it.

Last night I thought I would give it a try and I was looking for the marriage of my 4X g parents in either the Chester or Flint area before civil registration, and woo hoo it came up!!

I found that they married on 23rd June 1835 at St Mary's on-the-hill in Chester.
