Quarter Session Records and Petitions

Post by Blue70 »

I thought this new collection was worth mentioning. I found them interesting reading. They include records showing cause of death from Coroners' inquests and financial arrangements for illegitimate children:-

"Lancashire, England, Quarter Session Records and Petitions, 1648-1908"

You're lucky, the only one I've found of much interest I already had and paid for from the National Archives years ago!

So far the only relative I've found was the most boring one I've seen, "Visitation of God". He was 77 so I don't think a sudden death should have required an inquest in his case.
