Re: William Kelley and Lillian Mary deBruin
Hi Everyone, Just to set the record straight regarding my recent posts for assistance regarding the Kelley's et al and John E.C.L. Dowsey. It would appear that one or two members have doubts about my integrity in these matters and I was using the board for financial gain. Firstly the Kelly family ar...

Re: William Kelley and Lillian Mary deBruin
Hi Mary, Yes, I had a similar experience. My my grandfather was registered as Frank Lewis John Harley Forrester and this is the only document we have on which the names john Harley appear. There were 2 possible 'suspects in the frame, but we can't prove which was his father. The child's name was giv...

Re: William Kelley and Lillian Mary deBruin
Afternoon Guys, I passed on your input to my friend, who confirmed that all the data collected is correct, so once again, many thanks for all your sterling effort. As an aside, what are the chances of locating the birth father of an illegitimate child? The child was born in Everton in 1877 and was l...

Re: William Kelley and Lillian Mary deBruin
Morning Everyone, Many thanks for your input. It is much appreciated I haven't heard back yet this morning from my friend regarding the spelling of the mother's surname and the husband's first name but it is looking more and more likely that the misspelling on Frances' birth registration through me ...

Re: William Kelley and Lillian Mary deBruin
Yes, thanks Ann, it does look like a possibility. However, as far as my friend's husband is aware , he always knew the husband as William, not James. He is going to speak to his wife later to confirm the surname spelling and husband's name and text me back tomorrow.

Re: William Kelley and Lillian Mary deBruin
Hi Mary,
Thanks for taking the time and trouble to have a look for me. Obviously, I am taking the De Bruin spelling from Frances Kelly's birth registration, which has been confirmed as correct.
Fingers crossed.

Re: Mary Weatherall nee Shannon 1884-1966
Hi Alison, Thanks for this. No wonder I couldn't find Catherine in 1881. The surname had been transcribed as Welsh instead of Walsh. Once again there is an age discrepancy as the daughter, Bridget, would have only 11 and not 20 as given. Good spot on Edward too. However, I don't think he was born in...

His father was given as John and hers.as Mary discovered, was Anthony Vizzard. It would seem that ...

Thanks Mary. Yes, DS's find does seem to fit. I suspect that I am right regarding the 1877 Patrick Walsh death and would explain why there were no more children.

Re: Mary Weatherall nee Shannon 1884-1966
Hi DS! Thanks for your input. It is much appreciated. Just found this death for a Patrick Walsh aged 33 which would match the age of the guy you found on the 1871 census: Deaths Mar 1877 (>99%) Walsh Patrick 33 Liverpool 8b 77. Is there any sign of Catherine Vizzard / Edward Shannon on the 1881 cens...

Re: Mary Weatherall nee Shannon 1884-1966
Hi Mary, Yes that might explain the gap between Mary's birth and her parents. marriage.
