Re: Redmond/Redman
Hi Mary, Thank you for the offer but I live in Shawnigan Lake, BC, Canada. Might be a wee trip to get there :) although Millie and I plan to be in Liverpool second week of May. This is why I am so very appreciative for the work you and Bert did for me. I have only internet access to records and if n...

Re: Redmond/Redman
Bert and Mary, *** and her aunt have replied to the letter I sent! They never knew they had relatives in Canada and are fascinated. The stories are flying back and forth. Apparently Arthur jumped ship in America. Now an entirely new avenue to explore. My cousin and I want to extend my heart felt tha...

Re: Redmond/Redman
Good suggestion! If grammar school ends at 15, the dates work. I am not great with Facebook and would not normally have an account. I have no friends, family only. It is a good way to keep track of my kids and see what they are up to. There is a private "messenger" tab on Facebook where I can send a...

Re: Redmond/Redman
HI Bert, Re-checked the sibling's info. Graduated from "grammar" school at age 14. This seemed correct because in Canada, grammar school ends in grade 7 or 14 years of age as high school ends in grade 12 or 18 years old. Is it the same in England? Our meanings of public school is quite different tha...

Re: Redmond/Redman
Hi Bert, Again, thank you for this information. Aligns with what I found under the electoral registration, living with parents until her father died. Age matches as well. I cannot find the female person we were looking for in the BT phone book but I did find same female person on the website www.192....

Re: Redmond/Redman
Hello Mary, I agree, Bert is amazing and often has additional information before I have a chance to start researching. My apologies regarding researching living people appearing on this site. I agree completely and will, in the future, refrain from mentioning any living persons. My reference was to ...

Re: Redmond/Redman
Hi Bert, Arthur Redman 1914-1979 & Mary Teresa Lloyd 1917-2004. They married in Oct 1941 and Arthur would have been 24. Arthur Redman 1941-2012 & Anne Whiteside in 1964 in Liverpool, North. Confirmed UK marriage registration. He would have been 22 when married. The funeral notice is from Anne (wife)...

Re: Redmond/Redman
Hi Bert, I have found a living (I think) of Arthur Redman and Anne Whiteside. ****** in North Liverpool to Redman and Whiteside. IN 2002 to 2005, Arthur, Anne and Adele were all living in Liverpool, Merseyside In 2011-2012, it was only Arthur and Anne. Arthur died in 2012. IS there anyway I can find...

Again Bert, I am amazed and forever thankful! We found only two children from Arthur and Elizabeth. You have given us 6. This is wonderful with so many leads. I appreciate your tenacity and willingness to help me out. You have no idea what this means. My cousin and I always thought Arthur Redman nev...

Re: Redmond/Redman
Just thinking in 1970 a William G Jones appears with Irene Redman Jones on the electoral lists. She was married in 1955 What is the voting age in England? Presumption is that it is not 15, which would eliminate him as a son. I know it is witchcraft but my autosomal DNA shows numerous Jones as 2nd to...

Re: Redmond/Redman
HI Bert, Of course, it makes sense, Elizabeth Lloyd married Arthur Redman. She was living with her daughter. I think it was the Miss Nancy Redman that threw me. The other is that I have an Arthur Redman dying in 1979 who lived at 55 Beaverbrook. I believe I have the wrong Arthur and will see if I ca...

Re: Redmond/Redman
Again Thank You Bert. Irene Redman b 1919 and the sister of Arthur Redman III b 1914 (my mother's first cousins). I will search out Irene Redman Jones. I am trying and piece in how Nancy/Elizabeth fits into the family. Time for a timeline to figure how all these people fit together. I tried UK Elect...

Re: Redmond/Redman
Bert, I turn again to you with a new piece of information. My cousin found another envelope in my grandmother's hand addressed to: Miss Nancy Redman 59 Winskill Road West Derby Liverpool England No date as never mailed. It would have been sometime between 1909 and 1980's. I have been searching recor...

Re: Redmond/Redman
Hi Bert, This Evrett has an active email so the presumption is he is still alive. BUT good try! I have no idea where he lives as his @ is Yahoo. I understand Yahoo is big in the UK. Hope lives. I find most people who do DNA through Family Tree are more into family history than those who go through A...

Good morning Mary and Bert, I have applied as a member but since I live in Canada, I do not think I will be making many of your meetings. I am a member of the Victoria Genealogy Society and would be happy to help any of your members with their research for family in the area. I did a "Redman" search...
