Re: Juno Street
Thanks Juno, the picture looks very much like the store as I remember it, although the name above is different, our name was Frost, and there was no name above that I remember, possibly an earlier tennent. I have been having a look through my dad's old shop books and found a Mrs Huges, living at 15 ...

Re: Juno Street
I attended St Ann's school in the early 50s, if my memory serves me well, there where grave stones around the wall of the infants playground, which I think was the oldest part of the school. My father ran a second hand shop on Chatsworth St, and had a store for furniture etc at the corner of Juno St...

Re: 126 Smithdown Road
Hi, I don't know if this will be of any interest to you, but my family lived at 40 Chatsworth st from, circa 1944 to the late 50s, my father ran a second hand shop and we lived above. To my knowledge it had always been a shop.

Re: John Frost
Thank you everyone for your interest and advice, I have tried to follow the Hindley connection, also the possibility of John and Thomas being brother's, but unfortunately can find nothing that can prove beyond doubt that I have the right people, I suppose that when it is so far back you have to make...

Re: John Frost
Thank you both Mary and Blue for your speedy reply's, the street map really brings them to life. I have found a Thomas Frost, married in St Nicholas in 1749, living in Fazakerly St, and in 1751 living in Covent Garden, he also was a sailor, do you think it's possible that they where brother's, as I ...

John Frost
Can someone tell me if there are any records for St Peters still existing from1750s. I have hit the brick wall and am hoping someone can suggest another angle. I have a John Frost married 10th Dec 1753 to Eliz Hindley at St Peters, image only on Ancestry, so no further information. His son's baptism...
