Looking at your posts David I think you have your John Richard mixed up with my JRB. Yes he lived in Wales,Johnstown Rhosllanerchurgog,and was killed in WW1. My mums mum Florence was an inmate/scholar there on the 1901 census aged 15. Her dad died in 1892.

Thanks Tina. Eliza was my GGM. Didn't know she lived in No 17. I have them in numbers 13,35,37,42,44 and 67.Andrew was one of Eliza's youngest.
Also in Mulberry St,my GF Henry and Vine St one of his sisters that married a Chubb.

I had family that lived in at least 6 houses and ran a business there.
I have a copy of a photo that could be one of the houses.It is a shop with a yard and stables behind.They were coal merchants,green grocers,carters and a horse keeper.

John Richard Ballard that married Florence Mary Sutcliffe at St Silas in 1905 was my great uncle. He was born 4 th July 1882 and christening was at St Peters 31st July 1882. I know this an old thread. I was pointed to this site by Google,looking up what a 'Huxter Hawk' was.
On an early post TH Meers is shown as living at 37 Heath St.And married to Margaret Henderson in 1891.
Head of the household John Henderson was my G G Grandfather.
