Re: 1921 census
It would seem that the 1921 census will not be released until January 2022 and I assume that is because the 100 yr restriction applies until June 2021. Very disappointing,I was looking forward to seeing it much sooner.

H.M.S EREBUS by Michael Palin
Looking for something to occupy my time in this continuing lock down I looked through my book collection and re discovered this book. Its not particularly about Family History but can shed light on how things were in those times. Basically its the true story of a Victorian ship that left the UK and ...

Re: VITAL SECURITY ALERT - My Heritage
Far too late for my liking. The first breach was 2014 ! That's a long time enough to warn people that it had happened (and again since?). No such notice because that would deter most sensible people from putting any such personal information into their 'SAFE'keeping (or complete lack of it)? I have ...

VITAL SECURITY ALERT - My Heritage

IRISH HISTORY - FAMINE
The Irish Famine" , Author - Peter Gray, ISBN 978-0-500-30057-2, Pub. by Thames & Hudson. A little gem of a book I picked up in a charity shop, being the size of a small paperback with almost 200 pages full of facts and answers to many questions I had about the conditions in which my Irish ancestors...

Re: Walton Prison
A bit of a long shot I know but there is a local author by the name of John Smith who has published two books entitled "The Register of Death" Vol's 1 (2007) & Part 2(published 2009). They are very well researched but deal entirely with executions performed at the prison during the capital punishmen...

Great Find for you, congratulations! As for the surname I have similar experience with 'Riley'= (Reilley,Reilly,Reelly etc)and when you think long and hard about it your (and mine) forebear was probably on the run from the Potato Famine and likely used Celtic as their main spoken language? They were ...

ReDedication service for WW2 Chinese sailors 27/11/17
Further to the successful discovery and recognition of WW2 Sailors graves at Walton Park previously,I was tasked by the Dutch War Graves Organisation (O.G.S) with defining the burial places of a considerable number of Chinese sailors that were in service to the Dutch Maritime fleet during WW2 when t...
