Re: A reminder - to say thank you at the very least
I have just looked at our site and found this link and must say I am shocked that Joe has been made to feel like this, and he appears not to be the only one. A "thanks very much" and a smile go a long way not only face to face in everyday life but also using all the help we get through sites like ou...

Re: Harold Sidney Smith... A mystery man ??
Hi Steve, I have had a look for where I saw photos ages back of Dorothy street, sadly can't find them now but if you look at http://www.yoliverpool.com and flicker site , put in a search for Dorothy street, there are some of the street before the walls came tumbling down, all boarded up and some wit...

Re: Harold Sidney Smith... A mystery man ??
Hi Steve you are welcome. Your posting took me right back to my childhood, Dorothy street was lovely just off a very busy shopping centre, Wavertree Road all the houses in the area were lived in by very hard working family's who's doors were always open, a great community. All so proud of their home...

Re: Harold Sidney Smith... A mystery man ??
Hi there your posting intrigued me with your elusive Smith's as I grew up in the area that you are researching namely Edge Hill and Dorothy street was a street of bay window parlour houses. I believe they have all gone now but there are some photos still to be found on the internet. I had a similar ...

Re: Who was Edward Rowlands
Hi Simone thank you very much for your interest and the possible link through John Rowland the tailor. I dare say at some point all will be clear with Edward, I am just really so curious of the West Indies connection, and it is exasperating not being able to find a common link. I also have Rowlands ...

Re: Do your members do look ups? Warrington Record office
Hi Marny just found your posting and here's another idea, I had a similar problem but it was finding a living child who was to young to be away from the family home on census night, I knew he was living as he was shown in later census, but when I checked both sets of grandparents out on the census t...

POLICE RESERVE IN WORLD WAR 1
Hi can any one help with this question please? We believe from research that the gent I am interested in served in the Liverpool police during the war 1914/1918 being too old to be conscripted in the army, would there be any records still held for these men. Thanks for any suggestions.
