"Certified By" in burial record?
I have a burial record for Edith Mary Cox who was buried in Allerton Cemetery in 1970. In the column "By Whom Ceremony Performed" it doesn't have the name of a minister. Instead it says "Certified By :- John Albert Cox". John Albert was Edith's son. Does anyone know what this means?

The National Archives has WW1 medal cards for an Ottowell Bradley for the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and the Highland Light Infantry: http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/D1447392 . So it would appear he was James in the 1911 census in Liverpool, then joined the army in Scotland...

A thought.....if Sarah Ann never actually married, then legally her name would still be Jackson. Would her death therefore have to be registered under the name Jackson?

Re: Walter Carr b 1876
There is a FreeBMD marriage entry for Walter in Q4 1910:
CARR Walter, W.Derby, 8b, 392
Looks likely the 392 may a typo as the original image is not very clear. The image for Jane's marriage entry does clearly say 892.

Re: Edward Lloyd Taylor & Family
I don't think the Edward Taylor, labourer, living in Pitt St with daughters Alice and Margaret is Edward Lloyd Taylor. There is an Edward L Taylor occ Printers Master living in Sun Street with wife Elizabeth and no children who seems more likely. This Edward L Taylor was born in London which ties in...

Re: Missing mother on birth certificate
There is a Clifford I Smith born in Conwy in 1938, mother's maiden name Parry Jones. Maybe it was Eleanor Parry Jones? I seem to recall on a previous thread about Clifford Smith that a relative had said that Walter Smith married a Nellie Parry? If so, then Eleanor Parry Jones would fit in nicely. A...

Given that Alice Maud was still with Clifford in the 1920 electoral roll she must have stayed with him even after Walter W was born! Unless Walter W's mother was another Alice Maud!! Is this Clifford's death from FreeBMD?
Sep 1951
SMITH Clifford 80 Liverpool N. 10d 235
Could he have been in a nursing home in 1950? or perhaps just handed the reins of the fish and chip shop to George Clifford and be living elsewhere?
