My grandmothers sister was born seriously ill and was baptised at home the day she was born...the registrar noted this on her birth certificate ..no mention on her death certificate.

Hi ...my maternal 2x great grandfather was in the royal artillery in the 1830s /50s..and I found him in the national archives records and sent of for his army records cost about £7 or so ....they arrived pretty quickly and had lots of information ...not sure of the reference to access but I'm sure o...

When I first began searching my ancestry I too had a few tree snatchers ...but Ido have a good story to tell ...A guy in Ohio had my husbands 2x great grandfather on his tree ...it was blatantly wrong and I messaged this guy explaining why this man on his tree couldn't possibly be an ancestor of his...

Hi ..I only have James Edward Threlfall born c1921 ...he had a brother Douglas..born so the family think in Sydney We know James married Mary in the late thirties. Mary Finneran born c1920 she had sisters Madeline and Nancy again in Sydney Ho...

Looking for Threlfall and Finneran for my daughter.in.law.....can one of the crew please point me in the right direction ....have looked on FMP and there are a few maybes but I have run out of my subscription and now unsure whether to subscribe to FMP or Anc ..as to which would have the most info on...

I can't be any help I'm afraid ...Im with Blue on this one ..I searched for a long time and bought a few birth certificates for my grandmother and I don't think she was ever registered ...however one of the crew found that her christening along with her sisters was some 2 years after she was born......

Did the parents have to pay to get their children baptised...in those poor areas money would be in short supply ...just a thought .
