My grandmothers sister was born seriously ill and was baptised at home the day she was born...the registrar noted this on her birth certificate ..no mention on her death certificate.

I can't be any help I'm afraid ...Im with Blue on this one ..I searched for a long time and bought a few birth certificates for my grandmother and I don't think she was ever registered ...however one of the crew found that her christening along with her sisters was some 2 years after she was born......

Did the parents have to pay to get their children baptised...in those poor areas money would be in short supply ...just a thought .
